Considering a career in the automotive and truck industry? There are many scholarships available to help students like you pursue a secondary education in this professional field. Check out these opportunities and be sure to apply by the necessary deadline.

Automotive Technician Scholarship

Select Wisconsin high school graduates and continuing education students will be recipients of technician scholarships through The Foundation of the Wisconsin Automobile and Truck Dealers Association (WATDA) sponsored by local dealerships. The recipients will use their award to fund their vehicle service education in automotive, diesel or collision technology at the NATEF-certified Wisconsin Technical College of their choice.

Among the recipients is Morgan Larson of Rhinelander. He will receive a $2,500 scholarship sponsored by the Wisconsin Auto & Truck Education Association (W.A.T.E.A.). In addition to the award, Larson will receive a tool set valued at $3500 from Snap-on Corporation headquartered in Kenosha, WI. Larson plans to attend the automotive program at Nicolet Area Technical College this fall. Larson is currently employed by Parsons of Eagle River and mentored by Micki Nelson, Service Manager.

To date, The Foundation has awarded over 1,200 scholarships. This program encourages young people to pursue a career in the auto and truck industry in Wisconsin.
