Youth Apprenticeship programs
combine the best of a classroom education with hands-on
working experience in the "real world."
Students can explore careers
firsthand, learn valuable skills, earn school credit, and
earn a paycheck at the same time.
Many high schools and technical
colleges in Wisconsin participate in youth
apprenticeship programs to enable students to "test
drive" a career in the automotive industry.
Students attend classroom
instruction at school, and then, for a part of the day, they
work with an experienced professional who acts as a mentor
and helps students apply the skills they've learned in a
real hands-on situation.
Students, accelerate your
chance for success--ask your instructors or guidance
counselors about youth apprenticeship opportunities at your
school!
Business owners, get
involved! This year's youth apprentice could be next
year's star employee!
